You can rent the video games the same week they are launched, unlike DVD?s that are sometimes delayed from being available on Redbox for almost a month. Joel Resnik, VP of Video Games at Redbox said: "We?ve spent the past year and a half going through data and research about how many games to put in each kiosk, what kind of games, what will create a good experience for customers, and what will make it profitable."

Leading the announcement of the accessibility of video games from Redbox is L.A. Noire, the first video game to be shown at the Tribeca Film Festival. It mimics the style of films from the 1940?s which emphasized detectives, crime, vice, and corruption, and utilized innovative lighting techniques. Set in 1947 Los Angeles, the single player game, L.A. Noire from Rockstar Games, puts LAPD Officer Cole Phelps in the role of crime fighter, with action sequences such as car chases and physical combat.

From Mature to Miniature: Rio is also available on RedboxThe "M"-Mature rating on L.A. Noire gives parents and the squeamish forewarning. The classic-style-film-replicate features blood, gore, nudity, sexual themes, strong language, use of drugs, and violence. They forgot to mention fiery explosions. What an uplifting way to spend Saturday afternoon.

If you prefer, you can challenge Call of Duty, Black Ops. A calmer day might be enjoyed with friends who can join you playing with Rio on Copacabana Beach.
