Patriot Memory is a name known to a lot of enthusiasts and prosumers from the worlds of computing and digital photography. In order to further differentiate from the numerous competitors, Patriot started released special series of its system memory. The goal of this project is naturally, to achieve more revenue but also to offer customization and personalization that we haven’t seen before.
For example, few months ago, AMD launched its Radeon-branded memory, which you can buy on regular retail and etail locations. AMD teamed up with Patriot going as far as printing the AMD logo on the memory chips themselves, which brought a lot of bragging rights into the AMD camp.
Patriot Memory Launches Dual-Channel and Quad-Channel "Intel Extreme Masters Limited Edition" Memory
Not staying still, we recently received information that Patriot Memory is launching Intel Extreme Masters Limited Edition memory for owners of Intel enthusiast platforms. Extreme Masters is the name of Intel-backed competitive gaming tournament, of course. Available in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB capacity with JEDEC and Intel-verified speeds of DDR3-1600, DDR3-1866, DDR3-2133.
The memory was tested on 6- and 7-Series chipsets and should serve enthusiasts just fine. Thus, if you’re shopping for Intel-branded memory, this just might be the way to go. With AMD and Intel covered, one can only wonder what’s the next move for Patriot Memory and maybe their competitors -NVIDIA-branded memory (anyone remember Corsair DDR2 and DDR3 memory that only worked on NVIDIA chipsets?), or maybe Qualcomm-branded memory cards?
