cGPU/GPGPU/GPU Computing is already finding real world applications that are breaking down barriers! We all take for granted how fast our personal computers are but don't realize how limited many projects have been due to current processing limitations. We are on the cusp of the REAL computer revolution here folks!

Just go and ask scientists what they think, forget about manufacturers. Those numbers will make your head explode, and remind you politely how much we still don't know.

It doesn't matter how we get to the result and what we use [CUDA, OpenCL or whatever], what matters is to discover things that we don't know.

If you can't understand that, then I would wholeheartedly advise you to start thinking about how small we actually are.
