damn, someone beat me to it. 61 billion graphic cards for one day though.
i think protein folds in nano seconds anyway, but being able to get a 1:1 ratio means they could test the strands in real-time.

you might wanna check your math: 1400nanoseconds are not 1.4 milliseconds but 1.4 microseconds, meaning you need 714000 Geforce 295GTX for a single second.

But what is missing anyway: how long does a protein take to fold itself?Do you really need to simulate 24hours, or is it a fast process thats happening in a few seconds/milliseconds
