alright you CAN'T get those now but the point is still that the market for these critters are the same people who buy motherboards with IGP stuck on them

(watch for the same "why can't I have it separate" complaint to show up when AMD introduce their CPU+GPU)
will the nonsensical comments ever cease by: Anonymous on 11/24/2009
kyocera, Intel has been "using its position to sell GPU" eversince it put integrated graphics on the MOTHERBOARD, a move which propelled it to number one GPU vendor in the world by volume. Save your tears.

as for the person who wants "the nice 32nm processor without the integrated graphics", you can get those NOW. Clarkdales are for a different market, the same market that buys motherboards with integrated graphics.

This Intel's integrated GPU story is becoming worrisome; Nvidia and ATI should sue against it.
Intel is practically a monopolist in the PC business and if the company has the right to use its position to sell GPU, than Nvidia has the right to claim full rights to produce X86 architecture without having to pay anything.

I don't want the whole package by: Anonymous on 11/23/2009
Dear Intel. Give me the nice 32nm processor, but spare me the integrated graphics, for which I don't want to pay. I'll provide my own videocard, thanks.

For some reason Hexus deleted the page. Here's the material replicated at XS for reference

"The switchable graphics, though, are surprisingly competent for an integrated solution, easily beating out GMA 4500 and matching AMD's 785G. The DX10-compliant GPU, clocked in at 700MHz, a big step up from the previous generation, clearly, but we're unclear as to whether Intel will preserve the core clock on retail models."
