Modular PSU fail by: Anonymous on 12/1/2009
I've used the X3 1600W and it's really touchy with power. The modular cables sometimes fail to make good contact with the 12V rail and can fail if you bump your case while it is on. Unless they specifically address that issue in the X4, try to find another power solution.
X3 1600watt by: Anonymous on 11/30/2009
The Ultra X3 1600watt power supply has been around for years, and Ultra even demoed a 2000watt model.

This unit doesn't seem to be anything new other than the aesthetics.

Does this power supply require a 20A circuit by: Michael A. McKenney on 11/30/2009
My PC Power and Cooling 1000W and the new 1200W require a 20A circuit because they need 15A @ 120V. A 15V circuit is too small to support a full 15A.
