Tegra is just another-ARM based SoC. Nothing special about it. You can get similar stuff from Qualcomm, FreeScale and many others.
game changer? no way.
In terms of raw performance Tegra/ARM can't compete with the not-so-mighty Atom (less then 1000 MIPS for ARM, compared to more than 3000 MIPS for Atom). Good enough for Zune? no doubt. But for netbook? not so sure.
ARM do have better power consumption, but when Atom-based notebooks get 10Hr on a single charge, I don't think the advantage is that significant.
I hope google pays really low price for Tegra, cause low performance and breaking x86 compatibility is a big price to pay.
