Well, when it comes to SLC-drives, I had a first hand experience - from early 2006 till August 2007, I had a Samsung Q30Plus with Samsung 32GB SSD I put in the notebook. This notebook worked on 24x7 basis, CPU was always under maximum stress, and I worked in Photoshop, editing thousands of pictures - the drive worked like a clockwork.

True, I had it until somebody stole it, so I can't tell you is the drive working now, but you know, SLC SSD will still last longer than a Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 :-)
How long do they last? by: Michael A. McKenney on 4/22/2009
I want to replace my SAS drives with SSD. How long do the SSD drives last.
