Yeah... I do remember what was the price of AMD's Magnolia... that was the third PC system I reviewed for Vidi, and CPU alone had a price tag of $2500 [22% rip-off sales tax plus 15% customs margins - luckily, now thing of the past].

I think people forgot how much these things used to cost... the bill for my workstation in 1995 "featured" over $1000 for the Pentium 100 MHz, $750 for 128MB PC66 SDRAM memory [Siemens] etc... then again, we have to pay for the cost of progress. If there weren't for these parts, I doubt we would have cheap quad-cores or graphics cards of today.
