I say more power to the companies that produce VGA only LCD. Customers will just buy from another company that doesn't limit their options. And there are plenty of LCD makers out there!

And more power to the EU tax rule if that is one of the reasons why they have VGA only LCD. They can enjoy their advance VGA technology while the rest of the world will just have to do with DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort.

This is a good development, now to remove some more obsoletegizmos such as IDE and Floppy connectors.
Analogue Only Connections by: Anonymous on 7/13/2009
Isn't this the result of some stupid EU tax rules?
Because in Australia I haven't seen a VGA-only LCD monitor in a good 4/5 years.

If the EU persists with the tax rules, you will continue to see VGA-only monitors in Europe.
