Thank you for proving my point.

Ed.
AMD-biased
nVidia-biased
Intel-biased

P.S. Perhaps my job is to mention all options available to the consumer, because ultimately without consumers buying products manufactured by these companies, any discussion about stocks can end like it did in the infamous tulip crisis. What was it called.... ah right, Great Depression.

Total Garbage.

I'm not referring to "journalists on this site" - I'm referring to you! Valich, amd fanboy masquerading as neutral observer!

Some examples:

"For now, nVidia's results show that present is rosy as it can be in the current economical climate, but there are large clouds on the horizon." (for nvidia, but not for amd - even though amd posts loss while nvidia posts profit!)

"When AMD/ATI finally decided to offer SDI outputs and inputs on their cards, we can say that nVidia could be in trouble on all fronts." (rubbing hands together!)

"nVidia rounds the big three with a continuous decline in their market share. Given the fact that current line-up is somewhat of a mess, we're not surprised to see a decline from 31.1% [Q1'2009] to the present 29.2%." (nvidia line-up a mess? I find it clearer than 4670 & 4730; 4770 and on-the-way 4790 alongside 4830, 4850 & 4870!! But never a reference to that "mess"!)

"this is the strongest line-up ATI had in years. We might even dare to say strongest line-up ever from any GPU manufacturer. ...if you want to play upcoming DirectX 11 games [so far, there are six confirmed DX11 titles launching this year] in a budget less than $500, you have no other choice but to go ATI." QED!!!

Valich, you have no business in this business when you are as clearly non-neutral as you are.

I could never rely on you to make a tech investment decision. I am 100% neutral, I own amd stock since it became cheap this year, but I am not a "fan" of this company or that company. I understand gt300 will be monstrously powerful, and I may well buy nvidia just before it launches. It's a company with very talented management, ask Fortune!

Bias against nVidia?

If a journalist does its job correct and non-biased, he or she will be accused of being a fanboy of Intel, AMD, nVidia or just about any other subject he or she writes about. Seeing that we were accused of being biased towards AMD, Intel and nVidia, I would say journalists on this site do their jobs right.

I see no bias towards anyone in this article, nVidia had good Q2 results, but they're still not exactly "in it", since they haven't recovered to their previous "beyond US1 Billion/Quarter" results.

If your consideration that our continuous mentioning of facts hits the wrong spot with you, that is your right. BSN* is not backed by either party in question.

Journalistic credibility? Yeah right! by: Anonymous on 8/7/2009
your naked amd fanboyism comes across as utterly pathetic, for someone purporting to be a neutral observer - i used to like this website until your nauseating bias against nvidia became obvious.

bottom line: the no.1 quality a person interested in tech news wants is... genuine neutrality. Geeky, teeny corporation worship (of ANY corporation), a la inquirer morons, must be completely absent, outlawed even! That is, if you have any aspiration to being seriously listened to.
