A jumbo itouch sounds good to me. I surf the web 90% of the time with my itouch, wish flash was supported. I will check it out and likely get one. It is what it is and I believe it will have a market. I don't know many people who throw around $500. Buy it if you like it and think it is worth it otherwise don't.

For me this product had so much potential, and it fell far short of what it could have been. This thing is just an overgrown ipod touch. Nothing nearly revolutionary or even worth a press conference for. This product was purely out for the consumer, and the mactarded at that (I use both systems, so no flame wars intended, but we both know each side has their die hards). Anyway, as an illustrator I was hoping for a screen that one could truly draw on, and was hoping this thing would support some form of photoshop or similar app(it would be the ultimate portable sketchbook at that point). It's not just me either, a lot of people in the professional art/design fields were a bit let down. Also, still no support for flash? For shame.
((This thing coulda been a mobile cintiq *gasp*))
Apple has no problem.

As long as the blind, zombie-like Jobs fans keep believing in this stuff iStock will climb. I can't believe they even held a conference for this.

We're actually working on a piece right now. We will publish it really soon.

Apple A4 1GHz processor architecture

Hi Daniela,
Great summary of the iPad announcement this morning. I'm looking for information regarding the architecture behind the proprietary A4 chip. Right now, it appears as if the mass consensus of media outlets are focusing primarily on feature analysis and pricing strategies rather than hardware mechanics and device internals. If you or Theo have any leads into the architecture behind the A4, let us know. Thanks!

Face Palm.
This is also a phone? right? No?
I still wouldn't buy it. I'd still buy an i-phone and a kindle (or equivalent).
In fact, know what? a phone and a paper. Yeah - a paper. Ink and print and recyclable.
Old skool.

"watch videos, listen to music, read books, watch photos and play games on it"
So it wont fit in your pocket, will get lost in your bag, have it stolen if you parade it around, doesn't play flash, will cost a lot if you want good storage....
If i wanted all that I'd just get the i-phone instead (and i'd get a phone to boot). I know the design is swish but seriously, this is just a toy for i-fans.
And i'm not an i-fan but i would contemplate an i-phone - but not this.
Pff... and word of warning to the first of the buyers, remember the mantra -"Never buy 1st generation apple - they always need revisions".
