GT 430 is to replace GT 240 since both of them have 96 stream processors.

GT 430 is better for HTPC usage since it doesn't need extra power connector and has VP4 hardware decoder and HD Audio bitstreaming plus priced below $100.

Pricing bracket... by: Theo Valich on 10/4/2010
Today, GTS 250 1GB is being sold for around $100. We compared the actual prices of the two parts, as GTS 250 is going to disappear from the market and be replaced by GT 430 and GTS 450.

From performance point, GTS 450 does indeed replace the GTS 250, as the name implies [and as we wrote in the previous articles regarding GTS 450].

However, looking at the price points, GT 430 is indeed, the replacement for GeForce GTS 250.
