1) What is the most important feature in a CPU cooler?
The performance of the cooler and/or in comparison to noise levels.
2) What do you like most about the Vantage ALC [as seen in the video]?
How easy it is to install and use. Not only that the "bling" effect also gives it an interesting look in comparison to other coolers.
3) What resources do you typically use to research CPU coolers when trying to make a decision on which one to buy [i.e. this website, magazines, friends and family, manufacturers website, etc.]
I use everything available on the internet. Various websites/blogs, forums such as XS, friends who have used it and CPU magazine.

a. The most important feature in a CPU cooler is the efficiency/noise ratio. It has to keep the CPU temperature as low as possible and it also has to be quiet. Nowadays, there's more and more liquid cooler because the efficiency/noise ratio is convincing, that's why the Vantage ALC is a really good compromise with the different modifiable settings.
b. As shown on the video, he Vantage ALC is space-efficient and that's an important criterion because it affects the air flowing inside the chassis, so the temperature. The customizable LCD screen is genius, we can change the different settings and get several informations about temperature, fan speed and so on.
c. I usually read different reviews from different websites because there are always graphs which give us a concrete idea of the CPU cooler's performance.

oops redo of my comment as i thought it comes with two dans when it is actually comes with one so:
1: Most important feature of a cpu cooler is its cooling performance.
2: I like about Vantage ALC CPU cooler is that it exhausts the outside of the case.
3:When making research on which CPU cooler to buy, I prefer to read and compare several reviews from the hardware reviewing websites.

1: Most important feature of a cpu cooler is its cooling perfomance.
2: I like about Vantage ALC CPU cooler is that is comes with two fans, as this gives you option of less noise with one fan or the maximum cooling perfomance with two.
3:When making research on which CPU coolerto buy, i prefer to read and compare several reviews from the hardware reviewing websites.

1) Cooling Performance is the biggest factor for me because I do not like my CPU cooler/cooling to be the limiting factor in reaching the final overclock I get from my CPU.
2) Its the size of the whole unit which astonishes me, and with the history that CoolIT has, I am sure, even with its size, performance would not be a detrimental factor. Also since I use a open-bench table, the LED wont only be a boon but also show me important information.
3) Forums help me to identify/short list CPU coolers according to my needs, then I turn to certain Reviewing Websites which are known to be unbiased. Finally whichever cooler has the best performance without being unreasonably costly gets my nod.

I plan to remove the metal sheen from my i7 920 cpu so that when I ovclock it it would directly spread the die's hot surface onto the waterblocks' backplate itself. Because the cold season is coming and at night I get sub 0 centigrade already and I can already see me using antifreeze liquid sitting outside shivering in -20 C waiting 3dmark to finish.

1. Weight is important to avoid damaging my chip! I want just the right dimensions to maximize cooling and minimize weight.
2. I like the monitoring because I'm all about overclocking to the max and fine tuning every degree.
3. I read reputable, popular enthusiast review sites that overclock, mod, benchmark etc.

1. Performance. If it doesn't cool well then I won't get it.
2. I like how easy it is to install. CoolIT went out of its way to make it easy to install.
3. Review websites, and after that I'd read up on the company's own website

Most Important thing for a cooler is Size/Weight ratio & Noise/Level ratios.
Compact, easy to install with having a good CFA makes it unique across various available liquid coolers.
Reviewing websites, Manufacturing/Marketing Websites, Forums,Selling websites(specially frozencpu.com) are used to compare various available options & price.

As always prize is quite a marker, but also size/weight and cooling/noise are important.
The size with cooling capability and noise level are the best features to my liking in ALC.
Searching for a cooler includes various review-sites and manufacturer sites after finding few alternatives.
