Can't wait for the release. I just hope the game is polished and has a real feel to it. High expectations for this one.

Yeah, I run a core i7 with a 5870 and never have lag in the beta. Running 3x monitors via eyfinity for 3840x1024 resolution... All settings maxed out as expected. Heafty OC on both CPU (4.2GHz) and GPU (955/1250).
Olternaut here with an important question:

Will the PC version be moddable? And why only 32 players?
Battlefield 3 PC had better support at minimum 64 players just like Battlefield 2 did. Hell, that new "MAG" game for PS3 supports 250 players for gawd sakes!
Keys Please!

You got pretty lucky if you only had 2 crashes on the pc version. A couple of days ago the game suddenly became unplayable, I crash to desktop on the loading page when joining a server, every single time. What odd is the game was playable just 3 days ago(With a often crashes but nothing consistent like this) and nothing major has been changed on my comp, no hardware changes, driver updates, or programs installed in over 2 weeks.

The developers said that the beta on the PC has not been optimized, so lag is entirely expected.
You should probably be more concerned if you're NOT having some kind of performance issues...

The problem with the ground is that its not fully destructible like everything else is... so the most you can do is leave a shallow crater. But you're definitely right.
As for my "noobness" it didn't make a difference if ran the settings at high or medium or low. The same outcome was the result every time. I'm not quite sure how outdated a PC is if its a QuadCore with 4GB of ram and a GTX 260, but i was speaking relative to the i7's and 5970's that could theoretically be playing this game.

So hang on... you are hassling the PC version yet you are playing this on an outdated PC? I found the console and playing experience on the PC fine. Obviously your dinasour computer is lagging you out and you are blaming EA games for your nOObness.
Well, actually...

The ground is, in fact, destructible. Check out the ground after a tank blows up, you'll find a decent crater ;)
