128-Bit Encryption only means the tunnel is secured. It does not mean that the information you type in cannot be skimmed from your cache or browser [especially when using Chrome].
Typed passwords, card numbers and other information can be read by keyloggers and other types of malware.
for information on the type of encryption that the smartswipe uses take a look here -
http://www.smartswipe.ca/en/dynamic-ssl/600-dynamic-ssl-a-practical-solution-for-endpoint-to-endpoint-encryption
Also take a look at this page
http://www.smartswipe.ca/en/faq
It mentions in two places that no data is stored at all. not on the smartswipe or on anyone's servers.

I'd like to see a lot more details about what it does to actually keep your information secure. From the way it looks, it's simply a card reader with some software to fill out a form for you. Is there some special transport that's better secured than the regular 128 bit SSL? Is there some server program that web servers are running to allow communication; or is this thing simply adding hidden HTML tags on the page it submits and thus not adding any value other than convenience.
As the other poster suggested; how do we know this company isn't getting a copy of our info. I'd like to see it checked with a sniffer.

NetSecure does not store your information unless you opt to allow them.
Otherwise it is simply encrypted and transmitted to the page you are using. I would never recommend someone to save credit card information on any site or device.

So to protect your online shopping, you will allow a third party to know and track your shopping habits?
Can you trust the arbitrageur?
