Back in 2008, now President Barack Obama had gathered somewhat 13 million subscribers to his website barackobama.com and fed them with updates of his campaign to become President of the United States of America. When he took the seat at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, he wasn't allowed to use the list anymore, but was smart enough not to let it go to waste.
David Plouffe, his election campaign manager and also owner of the list sent out a mass mail, asking his subscribers whether they were "still in" and would like to become a member of the new list named: Organizing for America". Most of them answered with a yes.
Now this list is not a dead list that one could think after the election is over and political activities on the web have cooled down. The reality is much further from that, they are currently asking for help in the flood areas in Minnesota and North Dakota. And we're not expecting this list to go quiet any time soon either.
Our opinion: Well done!
