CES expands iLounge's Apple Pavilion

Calling all Apple, Mac, iPod, and iPhone enthusiasts. A venue just for you has just been expanded and will be housed under one exhibit hall at the upcoming CES 2010. If you can’t find something to drool over in 25,000 square feet of displays and conferences, you are just too jaded.

The co-sponsors of the iLounge Pavilion realized that with the withdrawal of Apple from next year’s Macworld, all those “i” lovers had to have somewhere to congregate. So, iLounge.com and the Consumer Electronics Association have enlarged the popular iLounge Pavilion to accommodate all those lost souls who have no place to touch and feel the latest iPod and iPhone offerings. It will be located in the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center during the January 7-10, International CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2010 event.

The Apple App Store cites numbers that make exhibitors want Griffin Technology meet and greet all those iPhone and iPod owners. Over one billion downloads in less than one year proves there is a market for any “i” related company or product. Manufacturers and retailers are said to be jumping at the chance for a space in the iLounge Pavilion.

Griffin Technology signed up. They provide iTrip FM transmitters for iPods, iPhones, Zune and Sansa; a wireless sound system for the iPod; and Simplifi which is a charge/sync dock, media card reader and USB hub. Their Lucky 7 Slot iTunes app should play well at the Las Vegas show.

Incipio inked a contract, too. Their tag line should be “Apple Fashion is Us”. They offer colorful accessories such as a “safety orange” dermaSHOT silicone case for 4th Generation iPod nano 8GB 16GB, a pink iPhone executive leather hard case for the Apple iPhone, and a “sunburst yellow” ultra light feather slim form fitted case for an iPhone 3G 3GS.

Scosche will be at the party offering more than 15 different earphones and an iPod RF remote for your car. JayBird will compete for your attention with JB-200 Bluetooth stereo headsets with an adapter for the iPod, while AAMP of America signed up to acquaint you with their iPod integration solutions. Device covers won’t be in short supply with iSkin, MusicSkins and Incase Designs all planning to be there.

None of the serious app developers have been listed as iLounge Pavilion exhibitors yet, but the whoopla has just begun. Jeremy Horwitz, Editor-in-Chief of iLounge.com who is sponsoring the exhibit hall says: “The 2010 International CES is a unique opportunity for Apple’s leading third-party vendors to show off their latest and greatest products on a truly world-class stage.” It looks like Macworld’s loss will be CES 2010’s gain.

Our take is quite simple - Macworld, world's most popular Mac-related magazine is losing the battle with "hip'n'cool" iLounge.com website in a battle for Bour... Apple spremacy.
