In Win had a lot of interesting stuff to show on this year's CES but everything else was overshadowed by the Na, an external hard drive case that brings a particularly interesting twist to otherwise boring market.
Zebra case definitely shows a lot of creativity - we love what designers did with the case This product is an artistic take on the hard drive enclosure design, heavily influenced by the Chinese culture. By looking at the enclosure, one could argue that there is no way your guest could ever know that there is actually a hard drive on your table. It comes so far in three designs, first is original with Chinese calligraphy on the top of the plate, than zebra design bringing that magic sprinkle of jungle on your table, and a design with red flowers.
Na comes with room for a single 3.5"' hard drives with up to 1.5TB of storage. You can connect the Na enclosure using USB 1.1 or 2.0 [12Mbps, 480Mbps] or by using SATA-II [3.0Gbps] or the elderly SATA-I [1.5Gbps].
In Win's Na hard drive case enclosure with cinnamon mints from Lavo Night Club at The Palazzo on top. When In Win created this enclosure, decision was brought to use ceramic material for the top plate, leaving you with the full functionality of a platter on the table. You can use the top plate for all other things like key holder, ash tray, plate for cookies, candies even as a plate for sushi. Naturally, you can wash it after using it for something that would require washing, either by hand or in a regular dish washing machine.
It also has patterned anti-vibration rubber that will protect the disk inside from shocks and vibration. The top platter hides a six centimeter fan with automatic thermostat switch that continuously tracks temperature changes and turns the fan on or off, keeping your HDD in an controlled temperature environment. That saves a lot of energy and it's environmentally friendly.
