MSI brought several PCs to the display table during CES Unveiled. From the smallest 10” U135 to its as yet unreleased 24 inch touch interface model, MSI had a variety to draw the attention of attendees.
The U135 in the “Ride with the Wind” series is a small portable PC, with a chiclet keyboard, a large touchpad, and long (undefined) battery life. Small, but mighty, it sports an Atom N450, Intel NM 10, DDR II 667 MHz, max 2G, and its 10 inch WSVGA LCD, and GMA 3150.
The big brother of the line is the MSI WindTop AE2220. It incorporates Windows 7, Multi-Touch, Intel dual core T4300 2.1 GHz processor, and Nvidia Ion graphics. The 22 inch, 16:9 full HD monitor with SRS Premium Sound makes multi media fun. It’s called the All-in One for entertainment.
WindTop All-in-One desktop PCs are being used by the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago Illinois to run interactive software. Visitors can see images and scenes from the White House, showing artwork, the surrounding grounds, and even behind the scenes footage of the staff in this historic landmark.

The touch screen interface on a 24 inch PC display being demonstrated by Melanie Ho and Amber Chung caught the eye of passing journals. This larger member of the MSI family has yet to be launched, however it was functioning quite well for demo purposes. The women would touch, slide, and spin objects on the screen. Touch interfaces seem to be the wave of the future, and MSI is riding that wave with aplomb.
