Adobe Creative Suite 5 Available Today

In our previous articles we’ve talked about how revolutionary Adobe’s new Creative Suite 5 [CS5] is, and 2 weeks ago we talked about some of the new features inside of it. And today, you can actually see those features for yourself. Currently, the price of the entire CS5 Master Collection is $2599 which is fairly cost prohibitive to most. But, today you can test drive any and all of the Creative Suite 5 applications direct from Adobe. These trials typically last 30 days after which you will have to pay to continue to use the software, as has been the case with nearly all Adobe trials in the recent past.

Also, with the release of this trial we expect to see a bunch of hackers attempting to hack this newest version of Adobe’s Creative Suite in order to skirt the 30 day trial limit as well as avoid paying the $2599 price tag. Hopefully, Adobe has been working on their security to prevent this but as usual when someone builds something to be unhackable someone always finds a way to hack it.

As we’ve stated before, our favorite changes to CS5 definitely came in the form of Photoshop and Premiere Pro. Most notably in some of the new editing features added to Photoshop like the content-aware fill.

In addition to the changes like content-aware fill, Adobe has also implemented the Mercury Playback Engine into Adobe Premiere Pro which harnesses the power of Nvidia GPUs to greatly accelerate the processing of videos and reduce encoding times for movies. In addition to that, Premiere Pro’s CUDA acceleration allows for real time rendering which is invaluable for anyone who wants to be productive in film.
