Headphones, earbuds, and sound systems marketed by the House of Marley illustrate Bob Marley's respect for the earth and its people. Marley's unique and inspiring music was the catalyst for his family's company, the House of Marley.
What a fantastic surprise to run into one of his own children representing their new audio products at CES. Those products are contained in three collections labeled Jammin', Freedom and Destiny.
The products include ear buds, over-ear headphones, docking/charging stations, speakers and boomboxes. The Freedom line delivers a high-end audio experience with a modern, soulful design.
Destiny uses beautiful, natural, premium materials to deliver superb clarity and thick, rich, resonant bass. Just behold those jammin' headphones pictured on the right, oozing with positive vibrations, rasta style.
Their eco-conscious headphones use FSC-certified wood. Forest Stewardship Certification is the highest-standard certification available for wood products.
It ensures preservation of forests and ethical environmental practices. The ear cups are of high quality recyclable aluminum that adds durability and keeps materials out of the waste fills. Plastic is, whenever possible, a no-no. In all instances, they try to use organic cotton and canvas, as well as hemp.
Packaging is made of pulp paper and soy-based ink. A portion of each purchase supports causes that reflect Marley's concern for the world and its inhabitants. In-ear headphones come in nine different varieties in multiple colors, with a suggested retail of $29.99 to $199. Over-ear headphones are available in seven different and colorful styles with MSRP of $49.99 to $299. The Rebel Music headphones, named for music that makes you want to stand up for something greater than yourself, provide 20Hz-20+kHz frequency response for clear sound reproduction.
Positive Vibration headphones provide a real feel for the music – with a great bass. Their right-angled, 3.5-millimeter gold-plated connector is designed to fit with a variety of device cases and provides a high-quality connection for sound.
The Jammin' product line was designed to bring the joyful Rasta vibe to life through colorful, vibrant style, and solid performance. The product line names came from Marley songs which can be heard on various YouTube videos. We particularly liked the rendition of the Redemption Song – Freedom.
