Gigabyte GA-X79-UD7 Motherboard Preview

And here are the board pictures you've all been waiting for!

24-Phase Power VRM with poscap capacitors and a single quad-channel DIMM setup.

Dual 8-pin 12V CPU power connectors for more stable CPU power and overclocking

Another picture of the VRM. As you can see, there are poscaps on both sides of the chokes enabling the 24 power phases.

Here's an overall shot of the board, as you can see... its quite a long board as most motherboards would end before the last PCI-E slot.

Here are some of the many I/O ports and BIOS buttons. The red ones are USB 2.0 and the blue ones are USB 3.0. The blue/green button is for switching BIOS and the OC button is to do a quick overclock. On the far right (cut off) you can see the audio connectors as well.

Here's a shot of all the PCI-E slots and the PCI-E x1 slots between them.

THis is our final picture to give you an idea of the overall heft of the LGA 2011 socket, it makes a penny look small. So much for having smaller processors?

We hope you enjoyed these board pictures as much as we did and we look forward to publishing a full review in the coming days, our busy schedule willing.
