Search giant from Mountain View, CA just released a new contender in Browser Wars 2.0: Chrome 11. Released
just seven weeks ago, Chrome 10 is already getting replaced with the new version. Truth to be told, the "race to get to a version 100" is killing the subversions which might be a better description of some XX.0 releases.
Even though we'd consider Chrome 11 as a 10.1, there is a very impressive feature brought forward with Chrome 11. Google is bringing us one step closer to a Star Trek transcoder with the inclusion of "Speech Input through HTML" feature. This feature allows you to speak through Google Translate and get not just the written translation, but a verbal one as well.
As you can see in a screenshot above, Google Translate will tell you the translation in any of the supported languages and even offer pronunciation even for alternate translations, which is an impressive addition to the functionality of translating tool used by millions of users around the world.Google Chrome Reached version 11.0.696.57, enough for a new, simplified logo
If you're a Chrome user, just go to tools - About Google Chrome and start the update process. if not, you can download the Google Chrome installer here
