VIA's New White Paper touts Nano X2 Performance, Beating Intel Atom

VIA recently released a white paper which pitted VIA's latest Nano X2 processor against the competing dual-core Intel Atom processor. The company hired Scott Gardner from Advantage Engineering LLC, who ran a series of benchmarks which oriented on comparing the out-of-order VIA Nano versus the in-order Intel Atom processor.

VIA Nano X2 at 1.2GHz versus Intel Atom D525 clocked at 1.8GHz. As you can see, all compilers were used (both General and Intel-one)

Quite predictably, VIA Nano X2 running at 1.2GHz wiped the floor with 1.8GHz clocked D525 in the selected set of benchmarks.
