Today Panasonic announced a variety of projects they’re working on. They covered projects ranging from their new, very environmentally friendly offices, to the city they’re building in Japan designed to run on almost all solar power. It was clear that Panasonic was focused on energy efficiency, even bringing actor Ed Begley Jr. onstage to discuss Panasonic’s forays into green innovation.

Panasonic also introduced a new addition to their Toughbook line for ruggedized computing, a Toughbook Tablet. This transition is to be expected, given most companies’ desires to enter the tablet market.

They also had news that they would be partnering with NBC and DirectTV in order to broadcast the 2012 Summer Olympics in London in full 3D.

Finally, and possibly the most exciting announcement was their new 4K resolution LCD monitor.
Specs are:20.4 inch size4K x 2K resolution, equalling 8.29 million pixels overall.The monitor is 3.5mm thin.It uses an IPS screen, which should make the picture look even better.
