At the PAX East gaming event in Boston, Massachusetts, Corsair Memory decided to raise their flagship gaming headset to the next level, by introducing their new Vengeance 2000 7.1 Wireless Gaming Headset. This headset will offer all the features heard on their Vengeance 1500 model, but with a 2.4GHz connectivity for up to 40 feet (12 m), and a battery life for up to 10 hours.
The Vengeance 2000 will sport the same 50mm drivers as its predecessor, as well as the high-sensitivity, noise-cancelling microphone beneath it. The volume control and mute functions are built directly onto the left ear cup. The internal battery is rechargeable, but the headset will also include a micro-USB cable to connect directly to the system for power. The included USB wireless dongle will act as the same plug-and-play sound card as the 1500, working seamlessly with Windows 7’s default audio drivers. This wireless 7.1 headset will be available in June 2012, with a price tag of $149 USD.
We already put the Vengeance 1500 to the test in the past
