According to the celebrity gossip site TMZ, Mark Zuckerberg has obtained a restraining order against a man who crossed the line of politeness in his numerous attempts to make friends with the Facebook founder and chief executive.
The restraining order says Pradeep Manukonda, 31, must stay at least 300 yards away from Mark, his sister Randi and his girlfriend Priscilla Chan. Now, I know what you're thinking - TMZ, right?
But bear with me for a second here because TMZ has a pretty remarkable track record when it comes to these things and we know for a fact that Zuck has obtained the legal documents.
Facebook's boss had no other choice, really. The documents obtained by the tabloid publication say Manukonda has attempted to "follow, surveil and contact" Zuck and even dared "using language threatening his personal safety."
Manukonda was drawn to Facebook's boss in particular because of his wealth. Newspaper headlines that connect Zuckerberg to billions of dollars were obviously an incentive enough for Manukonda to seek financial help from the young Silicon Valley billionaire.
The stalker really spooked the hell out of Zuck on January 24, when he walked up to his Palo Alto home's doorstep, but Facebook's security reacted in a split second. Manukonda was also spamming Mark's inbox with countless pleads, sending flowers to his home and apparently wrote in one message he was ready to die for Mark, as seen in the below screenshot. A segment of this message reads:
I am completely tired and exhausted ... I am extremely sorry for bothering you at early hours...
Please Mark ... Time is really running out for me ... Please help me .... I really need your help ...
Please respond in time ... Before it get too late for us...
What would you do if you were Zuck. Would you offer a one-time help to financially-strapped people seeking your help if your were a Silicon Valley billionaire? Respond in the comment section below.
