In the movie classic, The Birds, the skies of Bodega Bay were blackened by angry birds. Today, Rovio said Angry Birds will be coming at you through your TV – in the form of video games, animated features and even tee shirts. Fear not, all this will be contained in the Roku Channel Store, posing no danger to you from the winged creatures.

Rovio is Roku’s first such partnership as the leading Internet TV platform begins to include casual games in its offerings. Roku is an open platform that allows content owners, regardless of size, to have a channel that streams to the television. The company launched as the original Netflix streaming player in May 2008. It now has more than 250 entertainment channels.
Angry Birds, not yet two years old, has become a cross platform phenomena, available on smartphones, PC’s and Mac’s. Moving now to the biggest screen in the home, the first TV offerings will be Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons, and Angry Birds Rio. This move should only increase the popularity of the games which have already been downloaded more than 200 million times.
From video games to endangered species awareness, Rovio alerts players to the plight of real life birds fighting to survive extinction. Rovio encourages its devotees to support bird conservation through BirdLife International in its fight to save the world’s most threatened birds from extinction.
