EVGA Prepares Ultra-Overclocking Version of GTX 580 Classified

The battle for the ultimate single-GPU card is heating up and it looks ASUS ROG Matrix, MSI N580GTX Lightning even came into the second generation (1.5 and 3GB boards) and now EVGA is coming with completely custom design.
Just like ROG Matrix and Lightning, the GTX 580 Classified is being designed around the completely custom design. But unlike the two, EVGA is going "all out" with bringing in the most extreme version of them all. As you can see in the image above, this board is absolutely massive, but it did not ventured into the Triple-slot land such as the ASUS ROG Matrix - we've been told that the design decision was made for product to be used in 4-Way SLI mode on EVGA's own X58 Classified motherboards.

The gem lies in the power circuitry - GTX 580 Classified can provide the GPU and RAM more power than anybody on the market, with EVGA's famous 3-power connector setup: 150W (8-Pin), 150W (8-Pin), 75W (6-Pin) and 75/150W (x16 PCIe Slot).
Yes, a single graphics card can take 450 Watts of power while conforming to the PCIe and ATX power regulations, no overvolting. With overvolting, the board could probably take about 600 Watts, which sounds like a sheer lunacy (and we're quite mad ourselves).
Then again, this graphics card is a racing car. We don't know what are the targeted clocks, but you can bet EVGA is targeting to retake the crown as the manufacturer of world's fastest graphics cards.
