MSI Offers a Fantastic 35% Overclock on Radeon HD 7770: 1.35GHz Clock!

AMD has unveiled its Cape Verde, value Southern Islands graphics processor and MSI came out with the custom cooled HD 7750 and HD 7770 graphics cards with the highest clock seen so far.
While AMD made a lot of fuss with the "GHz Edition", sending official images of the Radeon HD 7770 with the "GHz Edition" sticker on the heatsink, MSI revealed dual-fan editions of both HD 7750 and HD 7770.
Both R7770-2PMD1GD5/OC and R7750-PMD1GD5/OC (very short and user-friendly names… seriously? This would break a tongue of a spelling bee's champ) feature custom dual-fan cooling typical of MSI's products. When you pair the R7770 with MSI Afterburner software, you can achieve a GPU clock of up to 1.35GHz, a massive 35% increase over stock clocks or a 32% increase over stock shipping clock on the R7770-2PMD1GD5/OC card.
We knew Cape Verde was a "happy clocking chip", but seeing a 35% overclock is something we haven't seen in quite a while.
The rest of both boards is typical for a 1st generation custom design - all the main elements are present: the Dual-Link DVI is paired with HDMI 1.4a 3GHz and DisplayPort 1.2, which both support 3D video and 4K video over a single cable.
