Update: Thermaltake and BMW Announce and Launch New Level 10 M Mouse
2/27/2012 by: Ryan Glovinsky
Thermaltake and BMW Group subsidiary DesignworksUSA have partnered up yet again to add a new peripheral to their high-end line of Level 10 products following the success of the Level 10 chassis and its successor, the Level 10 GT chassis. The Level 10 M mouse has a sleek and innovative design, with what could be described as a skeletonized exterior.
It is a very open design, which should allow for excellent ventilation and avoid sweaty palms. It appears to be a wired mouse, which is a plus for many gamers that do not want to have to worry about battery life. However, details have not yet been released other than an expected release in spring 2012.
While we currently have no evidence to support this, we speculate it will likely be at least 5600 DPI such as the Thermaltake Theron, but quite possibly higher such as 6000+ DPI. Also, the extra buttons on the mouse indicate there will be support for macros.
On March 6, 2012 Thermaltake and DesignworksUSA officially launched the Level 10 M Mouse.
The specs include a laser sensor with resolution up to 8200 DPI, 11 programmable command keys with 128KB of on-board memory which supports up to 5 different gaming profiles.
It allows for lighting effects on 4 regions, with 7 color options It also has a function-lock mechanism to prevent accidental key commands during gaming.
It has an adjustable polling rate which can be changed using the included software, a gold-plated USB connector with a rubber coating finish to ensure data transmission quality.
Also, as mentioned before, it is an aluminum base designed for durability and heat dissipation.
The Level 10 M Mouse will come in three colors: Diamond Black, Iron White, and Military Green.
