EVGA First to Reach Amazing 2GHz GPU clock with GeForce GTX 680

When NVIDIA launched the GeForce GTX 680 in March of this year, we saw a company moving away from "hot clocks" and reduced the overall clock to just a bit above 1GHz. Soon after, we started seeing various overclocks, but we did not witness the 100% overclock - even when liquid nitrogen was used.
Vice k|ngp|n Lucido, EVGA's resident overclocker had other plans. By working closely with the engineering team, they created a GTX 680 Classified - a custom version of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 card. You can see more about the card in the video below:
The specifications are quite impressive, as this board was built to be the fastest card in the world, or at least have a shot at that claim. There are 14 discrete power phases, up from five on the original board (4+1 design), dual BIOS with a dedicated OC Mode, EVBot support, as well as 4GB of GDDR5 memory.

As you can see from the power phases, the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) is completely redesigned, focusing on overclocking. You can expect this card in air and liquid cooled editions coming to the market over the course of next few weeks, but EVGA achieved that splash the company needed for the product launch - world's fastest clocked GPU - 3.5 billion transistors operating at two thousand and two million times per second (2,002 MHz).
