A new mouse pad promises relief from repetitive stress injuries. Computer-related innovations come in all forms. With a patent pending, the fuzzy wrist rest has shown it relieves more pressure than other designs.
GoSmart RestPad comes out on top in testing
In a survey, several people liked the feel of the sheepskin, another scoffed that it could make you the brunt of office jokes. However, testing with tactile array sensors measured the contact pressure under the wrist and no one was scoffing at the results.
The warm, cuddly wrist rest won out over those made of memory foam and gel.
Latest mouse pad designed for ergonomic comfort
You'll notice it is about 38 percent larger than typical mouse pads. The soft area for resting your wrist is also larger and rounded to be more comfortable. Underneath the microfiber pad you'll find a high friction rubber base that holds the pad flat and stable for easy mousing. If all that hard work makes you sweat, the genuine sheepskin wrist rest is removable for easy cleaning.
From prissy to plain, you can make a not-so-sheepish statement
The President of GoSmart in Los Angeles, California is an inventor, Jae Son. A second product, the GoSmart Stylus offers precise touchscreen pointing with an unobstructed view through a patent-pending capacitive wire tip.
The company said they were having trouble keeping up with orders. You can order direct from them for $24.99 or through Amazon for a penny more. The conservative beige and brown are 'in stock” but pink apparently is selling like hotcakes - only 13 left. If pink is your thing, for $10 less, you can pick up a Hello Kitty mouse pad with wrist rest, but without the sheepskin and proven therapeutic feature of the GoSmart product.
