Kim Dotcom's Megabox Teaser Shown - The Game Changer
9/26/2012 by: Anshel Sag

Today Kim Dotcom and his team behind Megabox have finally released a teaser trailer for their new Megabox service. This service is really going to be what revolutionizes the music industry. What this service enables musicians and consumers alike is to cut out the record labels and enable artists to easily sell their music direct to consumers at a much lower cost while still getting much more money than they would have through normal channels. Part of the reason for Megabox's release now is because of all the setbacks that Kim Dotcom had suffered as a result of the shutting down of Megaupload. The shutting down of the service and seizing of his assets have been deemed many times to have been done illegally. As such, he is now on a vendetta to make Megaupload and Megabox even bigger than before. We believe that the music industry caught wind of Megabox and tried to shut down Megaupload in order to prevent Megabox from coming out.

Below, is a teaser video of the Megabox service.

Watching the video, you will notice that Megabox will be offering unlimited cloud storage for music enabling you to upload all of your music to the cloud and to stream it to your devices. Furthermore, Megabox will be supported on Android, iOS and PC as well as Mac. What we find to be the most compelling thing about Megabox beyond the unlimited cloud storage and cross platform availability is the fact that Megabox will have Megabox exclusive artists, which means that certain artists' music can only be purchased through Megabox, driving more people to use the service and to expand its size.

We believe that Megabox is going to give services like Spotify a run for their money as they are heavily integrating the social and community aspects of music as well as the business side of things by working directly with artists to distribute their music and to effectively give those musicians more money while charging less for the music.
