"We sell 1.26 million phones DAILY, out of which 410,000 are smartphones". That was a reaction from an unnamed Nokia employee in Ovi department that contacted us in regards to Apple's iPhone 3G S claim.
Apple, RIM, Palm - that's all nice and dandy, but the real battle is between ARM, Intel, nVidia, Qualcomm, TI... and that battle was just won by Intel.
ARM launched its Cortex-A9 MPcore architecture with a very clear goal: to fight off the attack of Intel Medfield SoC [System-on-a-chip]. As we can all presume, Intel Medfield is the CPU behind next-gen BlackBerry.
BrandZ released a report about the world's most valuable global brands. ICT companies dominate the upper part of the Top100, with Google being the first to pass the $100B value mark.
Intel and Ponemon Institute published a study uncovering the estimated financial repercussions of lost and stolen notebooks… brace for some nasty figures.
Greetings,
The planned network provider change will not happen as planned, due to our site administrator ending in hospital as a consequence of his gliding accident. The wounds are not life-threatening but Mr. Ivica Hosko is still in the hospital, four days after the crash with transportation to Zagreb in two days time. We send our best wishes and hope for a speedy recovery. As soon as Mr. Hosko returns to his daily post, we'll announce the details of our network provider switch.
The following message is for Mr. Ivica himself: "Ivica, you nut - gliding around a 2km/6600ft mountain with changeable winds in November?"
Thanks for understanding,
Ed-in-chief
