AMD goes into history books with the world's first 1GHz GPU

May 13, 2009 will be marked as a giant day in history of GPU computing. AMD released world's first stock clocked card with a GPU ticking at 1 GHz. AMD was the first with CPUs [Magnolia], now the company repeats the feat with GPUs.
